2 DAY TOUR TO AHUANO-ARAJUNO
 
( Campococha - Sacha Samay Museum - AmaZoonico )
 
First day :
 
After the breakfast (8.15am) in the Hostal Limoncocha we go by bus to Ahuano, (1 hour drive).
There we continue in a motor canoe, and float down on the River Napo.
Then we turn off to the River Arajuno and go up river.
We then reach the " Comunidad Campococha " where we will visit a local family, try typical jungeltrink " Chicha " and enjoy jungelfood ( yuca, bananas, maitos ).
We also get to know how the families who live in this community.
Then we go by canoe down to the Museum " Sacha Samay " where we can see  different ceramics, handicrafts, natural instrumentts for hunting and fishing and a variety of  traps.
After we have visited the museum we will serve lunch.
We continue by canoe, down the Arajuno River.
Soon we reach the Park AmaZoonico, a rescue station for animals, operated by a Swiss Biologist.
Here we can see different kinds of animal, monkeys, reptiles like crocodiles, turtles, boas and many other species.
After we have visited " AmaZoonico " we go by canoe up the River Napo, turn off into a small river called River Pusuno.
We reach the point from where we have to walk 20 min. to the Cabaņas.
At 7 pm dinner will be served.....
 
Alternative: ( Tourists who finish the tour today):
We go off the canoe in Ahuano and take a bus to Tena.
We will arrive in Tena at about 6 pm.
 
TOUR TO AHUANO  (JUNGLETOUR )
 
Second Day:
 
At 8 am. breakfast will be served in the Cabaņas.
Then we will go on a jungle excursion of 3 - 4 hours in length.
the native guide will explain about the variety of different plants, eatable fruits, different insects and the jungle survival with the knowledge of the Kichwa culture.
We may see monkeys and typical birds of the jungle.
We will observe the big " Ceibo " tree, and visit a place, named " Mirador " , from there we can overlook the beautiful landscape, a true charm of nature.
With these new experiences we return back to the cabaņas.
There we will have lunch and after a short " siesta go for a swim and look for gold.
After that we will walk 20 minuten back to the canoe, which will take us back to Ahuano.
From there we will take the bus to Tena and arrive at 6 am.
